John-Henry Janse van Rensburg

February 23rd 1979 – July 01, – July 01, 2012

John-Henry, 33, of Angleton, passed away July 01, 2012 as a result of injuries sustained after being struck by lightning the previous day, June 30, 2012, around 10:30am.

His wife, Jodi, and parents were by his side when his heart finally stopped, and he went to be with the Lord.

He was born to Gerhard and Heleen in the town of Pretoria, South Africa on February 23rd 1979. The family moved to Houston in July of 1993.

John-Henry is survived by:

Wife, Jodi Janse van Rensburg, son, John Christian (8); Daughter - Maya Lyhn (3) Parents - Gerhard and Heleen Janse van Rensburg, (Houston); In-laws Elmer and Donna Burch (Freeport, TX) Sister: Bianca Gravitt, In-law Sister – Jan Lee Grandmother - Christina Janse van Rensburg (South Africa) Four nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

The Funeral Service was held at the Northway Baptist Church, Angleton, 11:00am on Friday July 06, 2012.

The Burial followed at the Angleton Cemetery in Angleton. Visitation was at the Restwood Memorial Park 6:00pm - 8:00pm Thursday July 05, 2012, CLUTE, TX.
